    Headteacher's Welcome

    Welcome

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Our Lady’s RC High School.  At Our Lady’s we realise that every student is unique.  Everybody has their own  talents and interests, our purpose is to ensure that all our students discover, explore and reach

We are committed to working with all our young people to develop their own personal pathways to success, delivered through a strong focus on innovation and excellence in the provision of the right curriculum, the highest quality of teaching and the best learning support for every student.

The Mission of our school is ‘To know, Love and Serve God’; we aim to achieve this through:

    • Placing prayer at the centre of all we do and the teachings of Jesus Christ at the centre of our community
    • Being the best school of our kind in the country (in terms of ensuring the highest level of achievement of every student)
    • Becoming a centre of learning for the 21st Century serving the local community and beyond
    • Being dedicated to achievement for every child

At Our Lady’s high expectations are supported by our determination to instil a sense of respect, tolerance and care for others.  In fact, as a Catholic school, Christian  values underpin everything we do. We are privileged to have the opportunity to ensure our students are confident, well rounded people who will be valued in both the work place and in the community.

I look forward to seeing you at Our Lady’s in the near future.

    ImportantNotice

    March 2015

    Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

I am writing to inform you that after 5 enjoyable years as Headteacher at Our Lady’s, I have made the decision to accept a new post as Principal of an 11-18 school in Greater Manchester.

As I reflect on my time at Our Lady’s I am delighted with the progress we have made and the successes we have achieved, both as a school and with a great number of our individual students.

Our recent Ofsted confirmed that we have improved significantly and are now in a strong position to move forward further.  Rest assured that I will be spending my remaining months working hard to prepare the school for the rest of this year and next, encouraging the continued implementation of new ideas and developments and embedding those which are already flourishing.

Our governors are planning a thorough and rigorous interview programme, to ensure we find the best person possible to continue to take the school forward.  It is expected that my successor will be appointed before the end of the academic year.  I will obviously work to ensure as smooth a transition as is possible for students, staff and parents.

Finally I would like to take this opportunity to thank students, staff and parents wholeheartedly for their support, commitment and friendship throughout my time here.  It has been a privilege to have had the opportunity to have shared the journey with you.

I wish you the best for the future and will be keeping an eye on the future successes of the school.

    Yours sincerely

     J M Keulemans
